Bears sign veteran safety Duron Harmon, winner of three Super Bowls
Duron Harmon, a seasoned safety, was Tuesday added to the Chicago Bears' active roster.
The Baltimore Ravens had began the year with Harmon, who is now 32, on their practice squad.
Supporters of the New England Patriots have positive memories of Harmon.
Harmon, well known by his stage as "The Closer," played on each of their three Super Bowl winning teams.
He possesses great ball skills, and last season, when playing with the Las Vegas Raiders, he set career highs in tackles (86) and caused fumbles (2).
It's true that the Bears can't currently depend on any one player to change the situation.
They have a defense that allows 383.3 yards and 34.3 points per game, and they are 0-4 overall.
Harmon still makes a difference in the secondary despite his old age,
and he could have some fascinating advice to provide from his time playing for the Patriots about motivating the squad to perform well.
